Tatler GMT celebrates 140 years of Bvlgari

Held in partnership with Ion Orchard, the exclusive preview gave watch and jewellery enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the brand’s latest and most iconic creations

Few brands embody the essence of Italian artistry and luxury quite like Bvlgari. Since its founding in 1884, the Roman Maison has captivated the world with its exquisite craftsmanship and bold designs.

This year is a particularly special one for the brand as it celebrates 140 dazzling years of innovation and elegance. In honour of this incredible milestone, Bvlgari recently unveiled the new Aeterna collection, comprising over 500 masterpieces—from high jewellery to watches, bags, and fragrances—each one reflecting the brand’s rich heritage and modern vision.

Tatler GMT recently partnered with Ion Orchard to host an intimate event at the mall’s Bvlgari boutique. Esteemed guests—comprising of watch and jewellery enthusiasts, and long-time Tatler community members—were invited to this exclusive viewing to explore the brand’s latest and most iconic creations.

Annabel Tan, editor of Tatler GMT, kicked off the evening’s festivities with a short welcome speech. She shared her incredible journey with Bvlgari, recalling the unforgettable experience of previewing the launch of the Aeterna collection in Rome earlier this year. The special occasion not only highlighted her longstanding appreciation for Bvlgari but also deepened her appreciation for the brand’s artistry.

Danny Chan, Bvlgari’s regional clients director, then took over to share more about Bvlgari’s evolution. He regaled guests with insights into the brand’s journey from a single jewellery shop in Rome to a global icon of luxury. He highlighted some of its most exquisite creations—from the iconic Serpenti to the Octo Finissimo timepiece. Chan’s presentation offered a glimpse into the brand’s rich heritage and its ongoing journey of creative excellence, leaving guests with a deeper appreciation for Bvlgari.

After the presentation, guests were invited to explore the boutique and try on the Maison’s watches, jewels and accessories. It was a convivial gathering for the Tatler GMT community as they mingled over champagne, cocktails and canapes, revelling in the luxurious atmosphere of the Bvlgari boutique.
