Bertrand Meylan, co-owner of H. Moser & Cie., was in Kuala Lumpur to launch the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Swiss Mad Red that celebrates its long-standing partnership with Cortina Watch. Plus, Meylan reveals his stand on some horological topics in an exclusive video
If the cluttered dial of a typical chronograph has you hesitating, but you still yearn to own this sporty complication, then H. Moser & Cie. has the perfect solution for you.
When it debuted in 2020, the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner turned heads by being a chronograph that defied convention, forgoing the usual sub-dials for a surprisingly minimalist design. It features just a central seconds hand and a minute track around the edge of the dial to indicate elapsed time.
The automatic chronograph movement was created by Agenhor, an award-winning movement maker that counts Ming, Hermès, and Parmigiani among its distinguished clients. It incorporates the AgenClutch, seamlessly merging the advantages of both the horizontal and vertical clutch.

Designed to H. Moser & Cie.’s specification, there is also the repositioned oscillating weight between the dial and the movement, allowing the operation of the chronograph to be admired on the transparent caseback.
Along with the retro cushion case measuring 42.3mm in diameter, and integrated strap—the latter a first for H. Moser & Cie.—the Streamliner quickly made a name for itself, rightfully winning the Chronograph prize at GPHG 2020.

The latest Streamliner Flyback Chronograph showcases a striking red dial, created to celebrate the Swiss manufacture’s long-standing partnership with Cortina Watch in the Asia-Pacific region. Dubbed the Swiss Mad Red by the brand, it is the first time that the Streamliner is available in such a vibrant shade.
The colour symbolises a relationship that dates back decades between Georges-Henri Meylan, chairman of MELB Holding and Cortina Watch’s founder Anthony Lim. Both have since passed the management of their companies to their children, namely Edouard and Bertrand Meylan as well as Raymond, Jeremy and Sharon Lim.

Bertrand visited Kuala Lumpur to launch the watch recently. During his stay, he shot this video with Tatler GMT where he responded to some of the most debated watch-related statements. Watch the full video below:

The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph’s fumé dial is adorned with sunburst pattern for added flair, while the H. Moser & Cie. logo, although visible, is deliberately understated.
The central display chronograph comes with seconds (in red) and minute hands, both equipped with the flyback function. They are operated by Calibre HMC 907 with 72 hours of power reserve. Under low light conditions, the minute and hour hands are illuminated with Globolight inserts.
As previously mentioned, you won’t find the winding rotor is cleverly concealed beneath the movement, allowing uninterrupted view of the chronograph’s mechanics. This playful deception exemplifies why H. Moser & Cie. is such an engaging watchmaker.
