Tatler Singapore partnered with IWC Schaffhausen to host an intimate gathering at the brand’s Ion Orchard boutique, where guests discovered the latest Watches and Wonders novelties

Tatler Singapore and IWC Schaffhausen welcomed an intimate group of watch enthusiasts for an evening dedicated to the latest chapter in contemporary watchmaking. Held at the Swiss manufacture’s Ion Orchard boutique, the event offered guests an opportunity to discover IWC’s newest timepieces, unveiled earlier this year at Watches and Wonders Geneva, while gaining deeper insight into the craftsmanship and engineering that underpin the brand.

The evening began with a welcome from Annabel Tan, watches and jewellery editor of Tatler Singapore, who reflected on the significance of Watches and Wonders as the industry’s premier annual showcase and IWC’s enduring ability to balance technical innovation with a distinctive design language. Guests were then invited to hear from Manuel Engel, commercial director for Southeast Asia at IWC Schaffhausen, who shared insights into the manufacture’s latest novelties and the ideas that shaped their development.

A highlight of the evening was a live watchmaking demonstration conducted by an IWC specialist. Beyond observing the intricate work involved in assembling and regulating a mechanical movement, guests were invited to take part in the experience themselves, trying their hand at handling and assembling delicate components under the guidance of the watchmaker.

At the same time, attendees also explored IWC’s newest collections and Watches and Wonders novelties throughout the boutique. Among them were the latest additions to the Pilot's Watches collection, unveiled in a year that marks two significant milestones for the Maison: 90 years of its Pilot's Watches legacy and 20 years of its collaboration with the heirs of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Guided by the IWC team, guests were encouraged to handle and try on the latest releases, experiencing first-hand the details that distinguish each model—from refined case finishing and dial execution to the technical innovations housed within. Conversations flowed naturally between collectors and enthusiasts, with discussions ranging from movement architecture and engineering to design evolution and wearability.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a selection of drinks and canapés while taking time to discover the watches at their own pace. The relaxed setting encouraged meaningful exchanges and offered a rare opportunity to engage directly with the people behind the brand, deepening their understanding of IWC’s approach to modern fine watchmaking.
