Cover Tatler Singapore partnered with A. Lange & Söhne to host a private evening for collectors and friends, offering a deep dive into the craft of German precision watchmaking

The evening brought together watch lovers for an exclusive exploration of A. Lange & Söhne’s revamped ION Orchard flagship—complete with a live watchmaking demonstration by a watchmaker and a guided encounter with the maison’s newest timepieces

Tatler Singapore and A. Lange & Söhne welcomed an intimate group of collectors and friends of the maison for an evening devoted to German watchmaking excellence. Held at the brand’s newly refurbished duplex boutique at ION Orchard—the largest A. Lange & Söhne flagship in the Asia-Pacific—the event offered guests a rare, tactile encounter with the artistry that defines the Glashütte manufacture.

The night began with a welcome by Nafeesa Saini, Features Editor of Tatler Singapore, followed by an introduction to the expanded boutique by Keith Lee, Boutique Manager of A. Lange & Söhne ION Orchard. The new space, designed to reflect the maison’s philosophy of mechanical clarity and understated elegance, unfolds across two levels: a dedicated presentation floor anchored by the dramatic Wall of Parts—featuring all 451 components of the Zeitwerk movement—and an upstairs salon crafted for quiet contemplation and connoisseurship.

A highlight of the evening was an intricate live demonstration by watchmaker David Weber, who had travelled from Glashütte to present the inner workings of the brand’s most celebrated calibres. Weber guided guests through the painstaking craftsmanship behind each movement, from hand-finished plates to the signature three-quarter German silver bridge, offering an up-close glimpse into the discipline and precision that define the manufactory.

Following the demonstration, guests were free to explore across both levels of the boutique, attendees explored the maison’s newest collections and novelties, admired rare references, and engaged in conversations about horological philosophy, engineering and legacy—hallmarks of A. Lange & Söhne’s approach to modern fine watchmaking.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed canapés curated by Atipico, including Canadian lobster choux, polenta and funghi bites, mini pretzel sliders, beef and pickle skewers, and a selection of refined desserts such as black forest verrines and vanilla dark berries tartelettes.

As the evening drew to a close, the gathering reaffirmed the timeless appeal of A. Lange & Söhne among Singapore’s community of collectors—individuals who appreciate not only the beauty of each timepiece, but also the devotion, heritage and technical integrity behind it. It was a thoughtful finish to a night shaped by mastery, innovation and timeless watchmaking excellence.
