These timepieces get into the spirit of Halloween
The human skull is a perennial Halloween decorative motif. You can adorn your wrist in a similar fashion with these high-end timepieces. Created to mark Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), they are also perfect for trick-or-treating this Halloween.
Chopard L.U.C Full Strike 'Día de los Muertos' Edition 13
A grand complication timepiece with a minute repeater, the 13th edition of Chopard’s ‘Día de los Muertos' (Day of the Dead) collection features a stylised skull fashioned from eggshell and straw marquetry.
More than 70 rye straws were sourced from France, and each is shaped and assembled by hand to evoke the lines and contours of the skull. Similarly, the eggshell is cleaned, dried, broken, and assembled by hand to form the eyes and teeth. For the finishing touch, they are lacquered and polished to achieve a perfectly even surface. The skull is given a whimsical touch with a hand-engraved gold moustache. Further emphasising its commitment to craftsmanship, hand-engraving mimicking the vein of the straw marquetry also appears around the dial periphery and on the bezel, caseband and crown.
Its heartbeat is the acclaimed L.U.C Calibre 08.01-L with sapphire gongs and hammers, which first inhabited the L.U.C Full Strike that won the top prize at GPHG 2017. The unique piece comes in a 42.5mm rose gold case with a cognac brown alligator strap and a deployant clasp in rose gold.

Louis Erard Dia De Los Muertos Black
For a more gothic Halloween, Louis Erard has the perfect watch. The floral-decorated skull in white, grey, orange, and yellow makes a striking contrast against the black dial with recessed floral motif. The time-only instrument features anthracite-plated pear-shaped hands.
The case is 42mm stainless steel with black PVD, and is paired with a black grained calf leather and pin buckle. Only 10 pieces will be produced.
