The Swiss manufacture has reimagined the watch in even more svelte proportions
An emblematic watch of Franck Muller, the Vanguard takes hold of your attention with a distinctive case shape inspired by the Maison’s signature Cintrée Curvex case. But it’s the skeletonised dial that elevates its intrigue, exposing the beauty and robustness of its movement for an edgier appeal.

Always keen to push the design envelope further, Franck Muller has gone back to the drawing board in an attempt to reduce the case size for a more elegant mien. The result is the new Vanguard Slim Skeleton in V 37 (37mm in width). It is a lovely timepiece with a height of only 9.1mm, perfectly suited for dainty wrists.

The task required the watchmakers to rethink the in-house skeleton movement, redesigning the different components without compromising performance and precision. All the components have to be carefully cut, and delicately open-worked, before being hand-polished and refined in order to achieve an architectural beauty that begs to be admired. For a luxurious sheen, the automatic MVT FM 708-SQ movement, which offers 38 hours of power reserve, is set with
26 rubies.
Combined with the integrated numerals, the dial is transparent but absolutely stunning, giving its wearer not just a unique piece on the wrist but also a peek at the Maison’s savoir-faire.
If you prefer a bit of heft, the Vanguard Slim Skeleton is also available in V 41, but with a similarly slimmed-down case.
Both case sizes are available in rose or white gold, and are set with diamonds; the numerals also sparkle with brilliant-cut diamonds. An integrated alligator strap completes the opulent look.
