The Chanel Wanted collection brings punk and rock n' roll to its most iconic designs

The public caught a glimpse of the Chanel Wanted capsule collection earlier this year at Watches and Wonders 2022. Months later, the French luxury maison finally gives us a full look at this highly-anticipated collection. Available at the Chanel boutique in KLCC, Chanel Wanted reimagines its most distinctive watch designs, from the iconic J12 to beloved Boyfriend and Première. Director of Chanel's Watchmaking Creation Studio Arnaud Chastaingt pays tribute to the six letters in its iconic logo, stamping it in a completely different way on each model to bring an edgy update to these familiar designs.

These limited edition designs are all about making a style statement. The Chanel logo appears in an artful cascade of rhodium-plated stickers on the dial on the white ceramic version, whereas the black, slightly bigger model prefers a bold, minimalist declaration. Both feature bezels embellished with varnished sapphire crystals and metallic, geometric detailing to stand out against the ceramic bracelets.

Chanel's six letters are cut from steel and stamped onto the leather strap as well as the black-lacquered dial in this minimalist and bold expression of the Chanel Boyfriend watch. Capturing the spirit of the '90s, there are monochromatic, pixelated designs on the dial, framed by the instantly-recognisable rectangular steel casing.
