Marvel's Doctor Strange stars in a new campaign to launch the new Polaris Perpetual Calendar

As the highly anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits cinemas this week, Jaeger-LeCoultre releases a new video starring the MCU star and its brand ambassador Benedict Cumberbatch who talks about "eternal cycles and ever-changing sense of time, as expressed in the natural world." This relates to the launch of the Swiss watchmaker's Polaris Perpetual Calendar. This is the first time a perpetual calendar complication appears in the Polaris model.

Telling the time, date, day and month in an uninterrupted continuous motion, the Polaris Perpetual Calendar also displays the moon phase as seen in the Northern Hemisphere. Interestingly, this moon phase display is complemented with a retrograde moon phase display as seen in the Southern Hemisphere. Endowed with a new automatic movement, the watch comes in a 42mm steel or pink gold case.

In the video, Cumberbatch also reveals why this watch may be the most ideal timepiece for him: “The world is moving very fast and our involvement with it is constantly changing, from one day to the next. Whether I’m running or reading or sitting still and contemplating the world, the Polaris Perpetual Calendar really is a watch that fits in with all scenarios and will give me the essential information I need every day.”
