Discover the jewellery brand’s new range of floral-inspired wearable art pieces

In Singapore, the name Risis is a familiar one. The homegrown brand has been offering its artisanal 24K gold-plated natural jewellery and objects for over four decades, with the most famous ones being those featuring the orchid.

While these handcrafted creations have often made the perfect souvenir, they can also be wearable art pieces for the everyday. Case in point? Risis’ Iconic Orchids capsule collections.

The brand collaborated with four local designers to put their unique spin on Risis’ signature flowers. Elyn Wong brought the fluid lines and minimalist forms of her fashion label Stolen to her collaboration, which includes a statement ear cuff and a transformable necklace featuring the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid.

Bag designer Ling Wu transformed the Vanda Limbata orchid into the guiding needle on her compass-inspired medallion designs, while Trilogie’s Sylvia Lim added colour and Peranakan motifs to her bold creations centred on the Phalaenopsis Cornu Cervi orchid.

Finally, esteemed Singapore couturier Goh Lai Chan incorporated the Ascocenda Sagarik orchid in his bangle and ring designs, which are crafted with an intricate latticework inspired by his garden.

The collaboration marks a new chapter for Risis, which intends to explore the possibilities of its floral jewellery. Beyond that, the brand has also introduced it Botanique collection for Spring/Summer 2022; the range comprises one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by motifs from the Botanic Gardens, home to the world’s largest orchid collection.

All of these wondrous creations can now be found at Risis boutiques across the island, including its Ion Orchard flagship. Those interested can also shop the collections on Risis’ website.
