The acclaimed Chinese actress joins the Cartier family

Weeks after Golden Globe-nominated Lily Collins was announced as its ambassador for Clash (Un)Limited jewellery, another screen luminary joined the Cartier family: internationally acclaimed Chinese actress Gong Li as global ambassador for its high jewellery.

Gong first shot to fame starring in a series of movies by Zhang Yimou, namely Red Sorghum, Ju Dou and Raise the Red Lantern. Her status as top actress is sealed after appearing in Chen Kaige-directed Farewell to My Concubine, which became the first Chinese film to win the Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival in 1993. The toast of international film festivals, Gong has collected more than 50 awards.
