“You can't go wrong with a [gold pearl]. It's always going to be even more precious every single year. It will definitely go with any outfit and will always make you look classy,” says Belo. “Pearls are more valuable than diamonds because of everything that’s happening in the world, and I love that Jewelmer has cultured pearls. . . I'm so proud that worldwide, everybody knows that for quality pearls, Jewelmer is the way to go.”

“Pearls are always associated with women and femininity. . .For women, it’s very subtle. But when men wear it, it becomes a bold statement,” reveals Kho.
“It's about combining it with other jewellery pieces to make it look different, the way you carry yourself, and how confident you are to be able to [wear pearls] without being bothered by what other people think. . .to be able to do that and not care about what other people think is freeing,” he adds.

The couple is no stranger to bold choices—especially in love—which has earned them the admiration of many. “When you’re delighted when you delight your partner, that means you're being selfless. . .and that selflessness is quite bold,” says Kho, who has always explored different ways of keeping Belo happy despite being occupied in such a busy industry.

Every year, the couple would take turns in preparing something special for Valentine’s Day. During the pandemic, Belo, who never cooks, as it turns out—cooked a special dinner for her husband. Last year was Kho’s turn. “He brought me to Okada where he took me to five rooms themed with 5 different love languages,” shares Belo.
Belo shares that they’ve studied the different languages of love over time.

Subscribers of Belo's YouTube channel would know that they also both enjoy surprising one another with a gift that symbolises their love.
She once gave Kho a Bronzo green timepiece which was what he had always been looking for. “You imagine how hard it was for someone who doesn't know anything about watches to be able to find that outside the Philippines,” recalls Kho.
And a year ago, Kho surprised her with her dream car—a gorgeous Bentley Flying Spur.
However, the intentions behind these grand gestures are more valuable than the actual gift, notes the couple. And this is the very thing that they often impart to their daughter Scarlet.
“Love is a decision,” they would tell Scarlet, who is a symbol of their committed love.
Belo adds, “We always try to tell her to love the country, love God, and be a leader to give back to the country.”
“Love is first an action before it is a feeling; it is to be able to sacrifice yourself for the betterment of the other,” Kho explains. “It is very important for us to first define what love is. [We also tell her that] love by nature, involves a lot of forgiveness. Another very important lesson that somebody said to me before is, 'where there is conflict, between the choice of being right and being kind, always choose kindness'.”
