In the first royal wedding of the year, Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei tied the knot with his wife Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah in an elaborate ten-day wedding celebration that started on January 7.

On the occasion of their wedding ceremony held at Istana Nurul Iman on January 14, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei in the country’s capital of Bandar Seri Begawan, the bride shone in a dazzling diamond tiara.

Originally commissioned for the prince’s sister, Princess Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah's wedding in January 2023, the magnificent tiara was crafted by Singapore luxury jeweller, Flower Diamond. The brand, founded by Belinda Chua in 1996, is known for creating bespoke jewellery pieces that marry classic elegance with contemporary flair.

It took Flower Diamond eight months to complete the custom tiara, from the process of designing it to sourcing the diamonds and carefully finishing the piece. The tiara comprises a whopping 838 diamonds in various cuts like round brilliant, square-shaped, pear-shaped and oval-shaped.

Despite the sheer number of diamonds that total over 132 carats, the Flower Diamond tiara is designed to still look light and modern, as per Princess Azemah's wishes. For Prince Mateen and Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah’s wedding, the tiara was carefully adjusted to fit the glowing bride.
