1. Customer experience powered by technology
Did you know that Sime Darby Motors City is the first automotive facility in Malaysia to deploy Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in daily operations? Demonstrating Sime Darby Motors’ commitment to accelerate efficiency and deliver world-class customer service, this RM567 million automotive hub in Ara Damansara boasts a vehicle tracking management system that allows for quicker collection of vehicles upon completion of service. It has a camera-based parking guide and customisable signages to ensure greater security and convenience for customers.
Sime Darby Motors City has also installed IoT-powered automated number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras which will enable customers’ appointment data to be accessed upon arrival as part of a contactless self-check-in system. A service advisor will then be alerted and automatically assigned to the customer, keeping waiting time to a minimum. Inside the showrooms, customers across all the 10 automotive brands available at Sime Darby Motors City will soon be able to use a QR code system for contactless self-check-in. After-sales service is also optimised as customers can connect with sales representatives via a mobile app which also displays real-time data, digital application forms and more.
Built with sustainability in mind, the complex is a Green Building Index-certified facility, with almost 200 service bays, approximately 700 customer parking spaces and advanced electric vehicle charging bays, including Malaysia’s first fast direct current (DC) high performance charger at the Porsche Centre, operational since September 2020.
