The Porsche 911 Sally Special is a one-off Carrera GTS that is modelled after the iconic Sally Carrera from Pixar's animation 'Cars'.

Porsche and Pixar Animation Studio have collaborated to realise a beloved onscreen character in the Porsche 911 Sally Special. Inspired by the studio's animated feature, Cars, the one-off 911 Carrera GTS is modelled after the iconic Sally Carrera—even painted in a custom Sallybluemetallic colour.

Reflecting the onscreen persona—Sally Carrera, the girlfriend of main character Lightning McQueen, is a compassionate, kind and giving character—the sale of the 911 Sally Special will benefit others as well. The car will go under hammer on August 20, 2022 at RM Sotheby's as part of the Monterey Car Week in California, USA, and will aid young women as well as refugees via organisations Girls Inc and USA for UNHCR respectively.

Here's a closer look at the uniquely designed car.

Built for those who enjoy driving, the 911 Sally Special packs 473 horsepower from its twin turbo boxer engine under the hood and features the increasingly rare seven-speed manual transmission—which makes sense as Sally Carrera is based on a 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera.

Apart from the custom Sallybluemetallic paint, other design cues were added to mirror the character—including a special Pepita houndstooth fabric upholstery in three colours, combined with chalk-coloured leather and stitching in Speed Blue, plus incorporating Sally Carrera's turbo-look rims and even her tattoo as well.

The winning bidder will not only drive away with the Porsche 911 Sally Special, but will also receive other highlights—most notably the unique chronograph by Porsche Design pictured above, also created in collaboration with Pixar. Mimicking similar design cues as the car, the 911 Sally Special Chronograph, manufactured at Porsche's own watchmaking facility in Solothurn, Switzerland, is powered by a COSC-certified Porsche Design WERK 01.100 movement.
