The Macbook Air has always been touted as a functional, lightweight laptop. Its most recent iteration boasts of being the Air's thinnest, lightest notebook. Weighing 2.8 pounds (1.29 kilos), it features a 13.3-inch Retina display and offers users up to 2TB of storage. 

2. Dell XPS 13

Plenty of avid techies love the Dell XPS 13. This lightweight laptop is a top contender for the best ultraportable notebook. It offers an ultra-colourful and ultra-high contrast OLED screen and a faster processor. Its screen measures 13.4 inches and the entire unit weighs just 2.8 pounds (1.29 kilos). 

3. Lenovo Yoga Slim 7

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 brings exactly what its name promises: a slim, sleek notebook that's flexible enough to allow for a variety of tasks. With a 14 inch display, it weighs about 3.3 pounds (1.5 kilos) and comes with a voice-activated assistant, Alexa. Its battery life lasts for as long as 14 hours and—thanks to the Rapid Charge Pro feature—can recharge 80 per cent of its capacity within an hour. Lastly, its 10 Generation Intel Core processor allows for faster speed and even a face processor.

4. LG Gram 14

A two-in-one lightweight laptop, the LG Gram 14 is a foldable notebook that can easily be used as a tablet. Its touch screen capabilities make everything much more convenient while its Intel Core processor allows for plenty of multitasking. It's also among the smallest and most portable notebooks in the market, with a 14-inch display, weighing only 2.53 pounds (1.15 kilos). 

5. Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 13

The specs on the Galaxy Book Pro 13 are incredible. It's the smallest laptop on the list, coming at just under two pounds (or 0.898 kilos) with a display size of 13 inches. Despite its petite size, it is capable of incredible heavy lifting: its 11th Gen Core Processor promises faster speed and near-instantaneous startup. Plus, its battery allows for up to 20 hours of usage. Need we mention its built-in noise remover and AMOLED screen?
