The model forays into fashion design as she teases the launch of a clothing line, Guest in Residence, on her Instagram

Gigi Hadid is soon to become a fashion designer.

In a post on Instagram that teases her latest project, the model is pictured with fabric samples in a variety of colours, with a label that reads "100 per cent cashmere". She’s also posted possible samples of what the clothing may look like, including a turtleneck, a hoodie and a loose-fitting crewneck jumper.

Hadid tagged the account @guestinresidence, which appears to be the name of her brand, although there is no information on the page about a launch date or the types of products that will be available.

Family and friends, including sister Bella Hadid as well as Hailey Bieber and Tan France, have shown their support for the launch in the comments. "I can’t wait for everyone to get to see this line," wrote France.

Hadid had worked on a number of fashion design collaborations in the past, including two collections of limited-edition swimwear with Los Angeles-based swimsuit line Frankie’s Bikinis this year, and with Tommy Hilfiger in 2016 and 2017.
