The five finalists find themselves at a mentorship session during this leg of the competition

The last time we checked with the five finalists, the Director of the Singapore Fashion Council, Leonard Choo, met with Felica Pang of Feel Archives, Jamela Law of Baëlf Design, Hu Ruixian of Studio HHFZ, Claudia Poh of Werable and Kavita Thulasidas to work through their capsule collections.

And on this episode we find ourselves with the designers once again to contextualise their feedback from the judges and show off their works in progress with Choo. With the evolution of their collections in mind, they reveal more of themselves as creatives in a deeper dive into their methodologies and execution.

With a majority of their collections still incomplete, this episode’s valuable mentorship session with Choo shed more light on the various ways their designs could take. Some advised to go bolder with their silhouettes, others were told to be even more streamlined for a cohesive delivery.

At this point in the competition, how their collections look on the runway is also incredibly important. And the designers were also told to think long and hard about the styling and how it is showcased. Offering a needed alternative perspective, the designers also spent a day shopping for merchandise at Design Orchard to elevate their collections.
