Together with his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Richarlison, the South Korean football star made an appearance at Tumi Ion Orchard
It’s not everyday that you spot an international football star in town, much less two of them. This week was special: Tottenham Hotspur players Son Heung-Min and Richarlison paid a visit to the Tumi store at Ion Orchard for the launch of the brand’s 19 Degree luggage collection.
“It’s good to be back. Singapore is one of my favourite cities to visit,” said Son, who was appointed as a Tumi brand ambassador in 2022. For the occasion, Tumi set up a display of collectibles in the store’s VIP lounge, featuring football jerseys and Tumi travel bags signed by Son.
The boutique also showcased the new campaign for Tumi’s fall-winter 2023 collection, Essentially Beautiful, starring Son. The collection includes additions to Tumi’s signature 19 Degree luggage line, with pieces now coming in new colours like blush pink and deep plum. For this season, Tumi has also unveiled a new 19 Degree Aluminum style in Dark Denim blue.

Even with all that stylish luggage in store, the spotlight remained on Son and Richarlison. The football stars were in town with the rest of their team, more commonly known as the Spurs, to compete in the inaugural Singapore Festival of Football. The pre-season period, Son noted, “is very important”, adding that him and his team were “training hard” for their upcoming matches. Still, they managed to make the time for Tumi—and to play a little friendly game of foosball with their fans.
