Since its establishment in 1994, Shanghai Tang has been a stalwart supporter of the rich heritage of Chinese art, consistently collaborating with Chinese artists to create limited-edition products. And the latest collaboration with renowned multimedia artist Jacky Tsai is certainly no different.
Using Chinese art techniques, Tsai imaginatively blends culturally Eastern designs with Western Pop culture elements, seeking balance and harmony through his creations. An exquisite blend of traditional Chinese artistry with contemporary flair, this collection will surely bring forth a celebration of good fortune, happiness, prestige and prosperity this Chinese New Year.

The Auspicious Dragon collection celebrates not just the majestic zodiac, but also Shanghai Tang’s 30th anniversary, and the brand’s tenth anniversary of collaboration with Tsai.
Tsai was previously commissioned to design Shanghai Tang’s “A Garden of Vibrant Dreams” collection to mark its 20th anniversary in 2014.
“[Before the initial collaboration] I didn’t think I could become a full-time professional artist,” shares Tsai. “Shanghai Tang has played a major part in my career. It’s a brand I truly appreciate, I feel very lucky.”
