Each Louis Vuitton voyage is a dialogue between fashion and heritage. With Cruise 2026, the maison continues this tradition in a setting steeped in centuries of history: the Papal Palace.

Some collections transcend the runway, etched not only into fashion history but into cultural memory. Cruise 2026 is one such chapter. Louis Vuitton’s latest steps lead to the south of France, where the cloistered grandeur of the Palais des Papes—a Gothic marvel at the heart of Avignon—frames a show both monumental and evocative. A designated Historic Monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site, the palace becomes the stage for this sartorial moment.

Louis Vuitton’s Cruise collections have long embraced a spirit of journeying, not only through landscapes but across time. Nicolas Ghesquière, with his singular vision, once again guides us to the unexpected. This season, Avignon—a city rich in verse, culture and legacy—becomes his chosen canvas.

The Cruise 2026 collection unfolds like a chiaroscuro play where light meets shadow. Bold silhouettes, architectural tailoring and contemporary materials are juxtaposed against the timeworn stone of the palace. In this reverberant setting, the Louis Vuitton woman emerges: powerful yet poetic, unafraid yet intentional.

Alongside the runway, Louis Vuitton will also support a lighting initiative across Place de l’Horloge in Avignon, a continuation of the house’s enduring commitment to cultural and community engagement following in the footsteps of previous Cruise showcases.

The spirit of travel—a signature woven through the Cruise collections—finds fresh expression as Louis Vuitton selects Avignon as its latest destination. Within the sanctified walls of the Papal Palace, a Gothic stronghold dating back to 1335, the house conjures a rarefied meeting of couture and antiquity; an encounter that defies time.

True to its reverence for local craftsmanship and architectural icons, Louis Vuitton has brought its Cruise collections to sites of singular distinction: from John Lautner’s mid-century villa in Palm Springs to the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Niterói, I. M. Pei’s Miho Museum near Kyoto, and the Salk Institute in California. Avignon, with its towering Palazzo Papi presiding over the city, emerges as both a natural continuation and a lyrical new chapter.

Cruise 2026 is more than a seasonal offering. It is a new verse in Louis Vuitton’s ongoing conversation between fashion, place and history. In Avignon, time appears momentarily suspended, as each model treads a path between the past and the present, bathed in the timeless glow of the maison’s vision.

The Cruise collection will arrive in Louis Vuitton boutiques worldwide in November 2025.
