Tune in at 2.45 am Singapore time on Thursday, May 25, to watch the Louis Vuitton cruise 2024 show right here
There has never been a fashion show held on Isola Bella, but Louis Vuitton is set to change that on Thursday, May 25.
Following its recent fashion show in Seoul, which was attended by the likes of NewJeans’s Hyein and Mingyu, the French fashion brand will unveil its cruise 2024 collection at Isola Bella, which literally translates into “beautiful island” in Italian. The name is self-explanatory: the island, which sits on Lake Maggiore, delights with its terraced, Italian-style gardens and architectural marvels alike. Dramatic statues and fountains abound in the scenic destination. In a statement, Louis Vuitton described Isola Bella as “a treasure chest of Baroque art suspended over the water.”
The luxury brand lucked out, then, by having the grand honour of staging the first fashion show there. Isola Bella has been the private property of the aristocratic Italian family, the Borromeos, for four centuries. The island is home to their palace, the Palazzo Borromeo, where they welcomed royal guests, including Princess Diana and then Prince Charles in 1984.

For any other fashion designer, the splendour of the setting might scare them away for fear that it might drown out their runway show. But not for Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière, who has made a tradition of picking extravagant locations for the brand’s cruise presentations. His own ambitious womenswear designs, which look across a myriad of cultural references and time periods, often hold their own with their dramatic silhouettes and impressive craft. And we don’t expect it to be any different this Thursday.
Tune in below to see what Louis Vuitton has in store when its cruise 2024 fashion show in Isola Bella, Italy, goes live on Thursday, May 25, at 2.45 am (Singapore time).
