Discover Tatler’s edit of the best runway moments from the fall/winter 2023 fashion shows
As usual, London Fashion Week shaped up to be a celebration of creativity, with its spotlight cast on emerging designers and established names alike.
The most anticipated show went to Daniel Lee’s colourful Burberry debut, but just as worthy of your attention is Richard Quinn’s ode to haute couture’s past, which included an array of magnificent wedding gowns for the distinguished bride. Designers Simone Rocha and Nensi Dojaka continued to refine their design language; the former introduced raffia and shimmering gold cloque to her armoury of ornate fabrications this season, while Dojaka played with velvets and sequins that only added to the red carpet glamour of her looks.
JW Anderson, meanwhile, looked found newness in the past. He mined his own archive for inspiration, updating old looks and unveiling previously unseen ones. His latest collection was also a tribute to the iconoclastic Scottish choreographer Michael Clark, who brought punk and pop culture to classical dance.
