In this rapid-fire Q&A, content creator Laureen Uy on falling in love with fashion in her teens, serving edgy chic looks on the daily, and her top three favourite outfits of all time
Laureen Uy, Asia's Most Influential 2021 honouree, is both a content creator and entrepreneur whose passion for style and self-expression has set her career in motion as early as 15.
"I remember secretly borrowing my sister's magazines and just reading them from front to back and wanting to be featured in a local magazine someday," she recalls. "From there, I interned for a local fashion magazine at 15, started an online clothing shop at 19, and started a blog at 21. I love doing what I do full-time and am so blessed to love my job."
It wasn't long before Uy's online following grew, garnering more than 1 million followers (on Instagram alone) looking for style inspiration.

What do you love most about this look?
I normally don't wear dresses a lot but I am absolutely in love with this one. It didn't need any layering because it's already great by itself.
