Jewelmer
Dishes inspired by Jewelmer’s South Sea pearls spring to life at this immersive, one-night dining collaboration
Patience. That’s what it takes to truly hone a craft. It’s a slow, painstaking and arduous process, but the result is more than often worth it. This virtue is one that is shared by Jewelmer and Hapag, who have partnered for “Pearls of the Archipelago,” an immersive dining experience that showcases Philippine artistry in two forms: the bounty of South Sea pearls and the excellence of one of the country’s most celebrated restaurants.

Guests and friends of the Maison gathered under the warm, ethereal glow at Hapag, one of the Philippines’ first Michelin-starred restaurants. “We’re very excited for this collaboration because Hapag and Jewelmer have a shared philosophy,” chef Thirdy Dolatre enthused. “Where, just like the pearl, food takes time, patience and a lot of care.”
“The whole idea of a pearl is somehow what happened to the restaurant as well,” chef John Kevin Navoa added. “A lot of grit, a lot of hard work, a lot of patience and a lot of prayers.”

Guests enjoyed a multi-course menu prepared by chefs Dolatre and Navoa, with the support of Ricky and Bubu Andres. Each one was inspired by a Jewelmer collection, which creatively translated the South Sea pearl into a dish of equal brilliance.
The parallelism between these two names is plain to see: a steady, resolute development of artistry and craft. “This series that we’re calling ‘Pearls of the Archipelago,’”Jewelmer CEO Jacques Christophe Branellec declares, “We are starting in the culinary space, where we will be highlighting some of the country’s best talents.”

Guests also enjoyed an intimate showcase of the house’s finest jewellery creations, including those from their foundational Les Classiques, representative of the finest the house has to offer; to the rich, underwater inspired masterpieces of La Mer en Majesté that translate foam and creature into exquisite works. These gleaming miracles of the sea gracefully danced along the room, accompanied by live music from the Jewelmer Jazz Band.
This partnership between Jewelmer and Hapag is just the beginning, as the house will continue to seek out and highlight Filipino artistry in every corner—from beneath the waves to sublime creations on a plate.
