Tatler Singapore hosted its fashionable friends for an exclusive viewing of Giorgio Armani’s top Spring/Summer 2024 looks for both menswear and womenswear

Synonymous with sophistication, elegance, and timeless refinement, Italian label Giorgio Armani continues to define luxury fashion with its unique blend of minimalistic style and exceptional craftsmanship. The nearly 90-year-old designer behind his eponymous label still leads the brand, decades after creating the iconic soft-shouldered suit silhouette that remains a staple of the house.

On the evening of April 17, Tatler Singapore invited its friends to an intimate showcase of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 menswear and womenswear collections. The presentation featured the ten best looks, demonstrating a seamless integration of classic silhouettes with modern innovation, reaffirming its status at the forefront of the fashion industry.

With summer vacations on the horizon, the showcase could not have been more timely.

Creative director and fashion stylist Furqan Saini hosted the evening’s showcase, presenting ten of the best looks as the models walked the premises of the store.

For Spring/Summer 2024, Giorgio Armani Donna is inspired by the theme of vibrations, evident in the textured details of the garments—such as embroidered jackets, dresses, and tops featuring rippled effects. The colour palette, inspired by precious stones, includes hues of purple, amethyst, green, bronze, and silver, in red-carpet-ready dresses and elevated workwear.

Highlight pieces from the womenswear collection include a silk dress with a subtle print evoking the delicate hues of sunrise over the sea, paired with a multicoloured rhinestone-embroidered shirt jacket, and a two-piece ensemble consisting of a lightweight silk crew neck blouse and a long silk skirt with draped, flowing lines.

Another standout was a single-breasted jacket with a front zip closure and stand collar, boasting a subtle gradient wave motif, worn with wide-legged linen trousers in electric blue.

Meanwhile, Giorgio Armani Uomo, the Men’s Collection, masterfully blends historical influences with contemporary flair. It’s defined by the designer’s signature unstructured tailoring and a focus on relaxed, comfortable fits, heralding a season of effortless elegance.

The men’s collection opened strong with an ensemble that epitomises relaxed comfort, perfectly suited to a summery Riviera aesthetic. “What draws your attention to this look is its softness,” said Saini, referring to the soft silk jacket and pants complemented by nubuck calf leather slip-ons and a Logo Stamp Backpack in leather and polyester.

Notable looks from the collection included a single-breasted linen jacket, embellished with a woven motif that aligns with the collection’s theme, unlined and lightweight—ideal for tropical settings. This jacket was paired with distinctive two-dart trousers crafted from airbrushed linen with an unusual gradient finish, and a woven linen and leather shopper bag.

Another striking piece was the double-breasted jacket from the Upton Line, featuring a regular, completely deconstructed fit that enhances the iconic fluid lines synonymous with Giorgio Armani's style. Crafted from a blend of wool, silk, linen, and cashmere, this jacket is adorned with a distinctive chequerboard jacquard, adding a sophisticated touch to a variety of looks.
