With the comeback of Art Basel after three years, here are the best fashion #Tatlergrams of art week 2023
You might have lost count of how many times you’ve heard the phrase, “Hong Kong is back” over the past couple of weeks, but not only has the city welcomed back exciting events, it has also truly welcomed back the best styles, too.
With art fairs, gallery exhibitions and after parties in full swing, fashion brands also made their presence known through creative curations of events in Hong Kong. To start with, globally celebrated Korean American designer, Dior Men's jewellery design director and co-founder of Ambush, Yoon Ahn was in town to present the latest autumn-winter 2023 collection in her newly opened standalone store at Landmark in Central. And another international fashion powerhouse, businessman and new men’s creative director of Louis Vuitton Pharrell Williams attended Art Basel to launch his second sale on Joopiter, the digital-first auction house that he founded. The man of many hats was spotted—sporting a quilted jacket with a Human Made cap and Louis Vuitton duck bag—with local musical talents Gareth T and Moon Tang.

The hours after dark were filled with artful looks that we can’t get enough of. At the Design Trust Gala, the host of the evening, co-founder, lead curator and executive director of Design Trust Marisa Yiu was a vision in a customised Moiselle cape made of hand-dyed and upcycled feathers layered over a tuxedo. Kevin Poon and Fiona McLeish, the Prada power couple, attended the house’s multidisciplinary symposium Prada Frames at M+ Museum. And what could be a better backdrop to merge art and fashion than the mesmerising lighting installations at The ReStart Art Club?
