Hollywood has come a long way since Anna May Wong became a star, and the Academy Museum Gala 2022 is an excellent reminder.
The glamorous event in Los Angeles, which celebrated the museum’s one-year anniversary, was graced by some of the biggest actors and actresses of today—and there were plenty of A-listers of Asian descent in attendance. The gala was made extra special when The Academy honoured producer Miky Lee, vice chairwoman of CJ Group, with the prestigious Pillar Award.
Mindy Kaling, Squid Game’s Jung Ho-Yeon and Michelle Yeoh were just some of the celebrities who dazzled on the red carpet, making us proud of both their sartorial choices and the fact that they represent Hollywood’s inclusive future.
