Rustan’s proudly presents Race Off to Beauty, a beauty convention that brings together the industry, creators, and enthusiasts

Beauty is all about making a statement, which naturally makes it an excellent match for the blood-pumping energy of racing. With an increasing number of women getting into the Formula 1 craze, it’s timely that Rustan’s held their Race Off to Beauty, an exciting convention where the worlds of beauty and racing collide. Brought to life by some of the world’s most renowned cosmetic brands, such as Chanel, La Prairie, MAC, Jo Malone London, and many more, the Beauty Hall at Rustan’s Makati was the place to be.

Guests sped through a series of “pit stops,” which featured a variety of interactive displays, activities to try the latest products. It’s important to take advantage of opportunities like these to try something new, and there were a lot to go around. The Belo booth featured a skin analyser for you to see every detail of yourself, and for those who aimed for new colours on their nails to express themselves, Dashing Diva's express manicure service had them covered.

Emphasis Salon and Luxelle rounded off this complete makeover experience by offering blowdrying and hairstyling to refine your new look. Those who were on the fence about changing up their hair had the chance to shake things up. Meanwhile, race enthusiasts got behind the driver’s wheel at Tuason’s Racing’s racing simulator, and a rare opportunity to mingle with like-minded fans and hobbyists.

A few words of encouragement go a long way, and Jeanette Ipapo-Tuason, founder and chief executive officer of Tuason Racing, gave a rousing talk about self-empowerment. But one must not forget: this is a beauty event. Dr Rodnie Valerio of Belo Medical Group presented “Speedway Shine,” which covered the intricacies of skin ageing and how to stop it; which surely padded out the morning and nighttime routines of attendees with new tricks.

Racing fans were also further rewarded with the Formula 1 Fashion Showcase, which gave tips on how to pair names such as Champion, Ray-ban, and Gucci Eyewear with iconic and timeless fragrances, giving them inspiration for their outfit for their next night out in town. They'll never wonder what to wear again!

The finale was the aptly-named Grand Prix Slam, featuring RB Chanco and Justin Soriano, two renowned celebrity artists. They showcased the mastery of their craft with Tamara Pineda as their muse. Being a makeup artist herself, she also shared some personal beauty tips of her own. Guests walked away with fresh, new ideas to try out for themselves.

The event was a one-of-a-kind experience that all with an eye for beauty enjoyed and appreciated, but this isn’t where the finish line is. By shopping at the Beauty Source until the end of November, you also get a shot at the grand prize: an executive suite at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Dubai. This comes with an opportunity to rent a Ferrari 488 Spyder or enjoy a Caravanserai Desert Safari for two. Beauty should be exciting and exhilarating; it’s looking and feeling your best, and Rustan’s Race Off to Beauty perfectly captured that confident, free-spirited energy.
