With brands launching products left and right, the beauty industry has become more competitive than ever. Kiko Milano sets itself apart by remaining true to its core value of allowing people to express their individuality through high-quality beauty items at an affordable price range.
This is the vision of Kiko Milano, as told by its global CEO Simone Dominici in an exclusive lunch event. “Our distinct characteristic from international and local beauty brands is not just about the style and taste Italy has been known for but by the quality of our products while being accessible. . .it’s very unique,” says Dominici.
Organised by the brand, the glamorous event was held in Chef Jessie Rockwell Club and had the CEO sit down with the press and unveil a range of exciting new beauty innovations planned for the future.

But Kiko Milano is more than just surface-level beauty. When asked about its efforts for sustainability, Dominici says the company has a programme called “Kiko Cares”, made up of two sub-programmes: Care for the Planet and Care for the People.
For Care for the Planet, Kiko Milano ensures that it reduces its waste by sourcing from the best Italian suppliers while reducing its energy consumption and plastic waste. “We’ve saved over 200 kilos of plastic this year by reusing [plastic waste] in our packaging through modern technology,” the CEO says.
“We believe that as they have better self-esteem, they can be better part of the community,” he adds. So, in the Care for the People programme, Kiko Milano offers a fresh start for women facing difficulties. “We partnered with different organisations from around the world to help women suffering from cancer recuperate their labour power by financing their studies or reintroduction to society.”

Simone Dominici also shares his observations on the Philippine beauty market. “Compared to Europe, there is also a different concept of beauty here,” he says. “That’s why we adapted some of our assortments. For example, lips here are more important than eyes.”
“We extended the range of products to cater to the market’s needs. We also have a very extensive range of foundations, covering all skin colours, so you can find your shade. Skincare is also very important. . .you guys are much more caring for the skin,” he says.
