Cover Tatler friend Shireena Shroff Manchharam received a live makeup demo on stage with Raja Daniel, Armani Beauty's international face designer.

The brand's international face designer and makeup artist, Raja Daniel, was on hand to teach us a couple of nifty beauty tricks for our next fun night out

The opening of the Armani Make-Up Lab at Ion Orchard, Singapore (the second in Southeast Asia) was a much talked about event recently as it not only brought together local celebrities, socialites and the media but also a special appearance by the ever-charming South Korean actor, Hwang In Youp.

His presence alone amped up the atmosphere on that evening of October 3 as guests and eager fans gathered near the atrium of the mall in anticipation of his arrival.

Days later, Armani Beauty held a follow-up event at the same shopping mall and with no celebrity insight this time around—however, the brand flew in its international face designer, Raja Daniel, who has worked with everyone from runway models to actors.

During the intimate workshop, Daniel offered a multitude of tips to the specially invited guests in attendance and taught them the best ways to use makeup and skincare for everyday use and also gala events.

The most useful tip dished out was the importance of skincare. He suggested using a hydrating primer on clean, dry skin as the first step to prepare skin before applying face makeup—such as the cult favourite Armani Beauty Power Fabric+ foundation or the My Armani To Go Cushion foundation. Daniel held a very thorough demonstration of skincare and makeup application on a model and even at one point invited Tatler friend Shireena Shroff Manchharam on stage to give her a mini makeover.

After the event, the pop-up was busy with shoppers who were eager to get their hands on some of the brand's most popular products including the Lip Maestro, Power Fabric Concealer and more.
