Make-up artist and industry pioneer Bobbi Brown is starting a new role with luxury science-driven skincare brand, Augustinus Bader

Founder of her iconic eponymous beauty brand, Bobbi Brown wasted no time in building her newest beauty empire after her non-compete with Estée Lauder Group, the company to which she sold Bobbi Brown, ended. 

Her new brand, Jones Road, was founded in 2020 on the basis of clean and natural ingredients. More recently, Brown started her new role as chief creative advisor to Augustinus Bader, available exclusively at Kens Apothecary in Malaysia.

A pair that was meant to be, Augustinus Bader and Bobbi Brown share the same passion—and she has Jones Roads to prove it. A clean beauty brand that focuses on enhancing what you already have, as the key to beautiful make-up is beautiful skin. Augustinus Bader's skincare brand strives to do the same without any lasers or harsh beauty procedures, only good and effective skincare.

The skincare brand is known for its patented TFC8 (Trigger Factor Complex) developed from from stem cell biology research, which aids the skin’s natural processes, leaving all types of skin looking restored, renewed and rejuvenated.

Tell us more about your own personal journey with Augustinus Bader.

I learned about the brand through Augustinus Bader’s chief financial officer, who at one time was the CFO at my old brand that's now owned by Estee Lauder. He sent me The Rich Creme and I fell in love with it. With The Rich Cream, I no longer have to use foundation.

How does using Augustinus Bader products prepare the skin for make-up? 

I wash my face with The Cleansing Balm. It's like a cushion on my face. There are times when I don't even put moisturiser or make-up on because my skin just feels nice and cushiony.

Can you tease any upcoming projects you're working with Augustinus Bader?  

It's a bit too soon to speak to specific initiatives but Charles and I are both entrepreneurs at heart. We have plenty of ideas. I have so many different creative interests and outlets—my podcasts, my industry network of friends, photographers, my experience as a certified health and wellness coach—that I see so many opportunities.
