Volvo Car Malaysia will be organising a charity drive at the Tatler Malaysia Sustainability Weekend 2023, to benefit three charity organisations
Together with Volvo Car Malaysia, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming charity drive, where we aim to make a positive impact by collecting and distributing clothes, toys, books, and household items for those in need. With your support, we can create a significant change in the lives of individuals and communities through Yayasan Chow Kit, Association of Toy Libraries Malaysia, and Suka Society.

Being a sustainable brand, with its shift to producing electric vehicles, Volvo Car Malaysia continues its mission by organising a charity drive that lets you take part in being sustainable as well.
The charity drive is centred around the concept of giving. And we kindly request individuals to donate items that are still usable and in good condition, which will be redistributed to those who are less fortunate. By contributing to this cause, you are directly aiding the wellbeing and dignity of individuals who may be struggling to meet some basic needs.
Donating unwanted (but usable) items promotes sustainable practices by reducing waste and extending the lifecycle of the goods. Rather than discarding items that are still usable, your donation ensures they find new owners who will cherish and benefit from them. Plus, we get to foster a sense of community and togetherness by supporting each other and providing assistance where needed—thus building stronger, more compassionate communities.
About the beneficiaries
Suka Society or Persatuan Kebajikan Suara Kanak-kanak Malaysia is a registered non-governmental organisation set up to protect and preserve the best interests of children.
Yayasan Chow Kit looks out for children as well as teenagers, and runs two drop-in centres in the Chow Kit area plus one safe home for children in need of temporary guardianship.
The Association of Toy Libraries Malaysia, run by Play Unlimited—a social enterprise that facilitates the nurturing of one’s overall sense of well-being and community building, through play—aims to create a circular economy for the toy industry in Malaysia.
Guidelines for donating items
- Please ensure the donated item is something you would use yourself
- Please ensure all donated items are clean
- Do not donate damaged, broken, or perishable goods
- Please bring the items in a cardboard box and drop them off at the designated drop zone—where the Volvo XC90 is parked.
Together, let's make a difference in the lives of less fortunate children through the power of giving by joining this meaningful donation drive. Your generosity and compassion will truly make a lasting impact.
