Since its inception over a decade ago, Solarvest has gone above and beyond its initial role as merely a solar energy provider to become a comprehensive clean energy expert. Spearheading a movement towards renewable energy, Solarvest has not only illuminated homes and businesses but has also enlightened minds through advocating for policy reforms and fostering public awareness about the benefits of solar power.

“As a leader, I’d like to nurture people and change their lives for the better, be it through charity, ongoing efforts to educate the public about renewable energy via the Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association (MPIA), and our support of the small business community by mentoring start-ups via the Solarvest Innovation Lab,” says Chong on the company’s endeavours.

Through programmes such as the Solarvest Innovation Lab, the company sees itself as nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs by fostering innovation and resilience in the face of global challenges.

Embracing innovation, Solarvest further ventures into new frontiers, launching initiatives such as the Powervest Programme and Vestech Energy to democratise access to clean energy solutions. Through partnerships and collaborations, the company seeks to redefine the perception of renewable energy, making it not only affordable and accessible but also indispensable in the quest for a sustainable future.

Looking ahead, Solarvest’s five-year strategic plan charts a course towards further expansion and impact. With a focus on talent development, the company invests in nurturing a team of individuals committed to continuous learning and long-term growth.

“The goal, in essence, is to build a team that achieves greatness for the next decade, not just the next year. And to provide the tools to our team to deliver results,” says Chong.
