Queen Charlotte’s Ball
Before the consistently prestigious London Season tradition in honour of the past queen’s natal day became a debutante ball, its original intent was to serve as a fundraiser, particularly to the country’s oldest maternity wards. Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital was close to the Queen’s heart since, in the ‘80s, the royalty’s sixth son Prince Augustus Frederick convinced her to become a patron. As rampant as the maternity deaths are in the following centuries, the funds raised for the hospital were proved timely and efficient. Following the establishment of the National Health Service in 1948, the hospital earned its trust and together, they formed a teaching school. Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital is nowadays esteemed as an exceptional maternity clinic that specialises in fetal care with its long history and abundant research.
Le Bal des Débutantes (formerly known as Crillon Ball)
Often simply referred to as Le Bal, this invite-only debutante ball takes place in the gorgeous fashion capital. This exclusive gathering is joined by many high-profile daughters and icons from other parts of the world and is notable for skipping the traditional layouts of the usual balls by also being a big-hit fashion event. Forbes even dubbed Le Bal as one of the hottest parties to date with all the striking colours and different displays of energy. But with all the distinction and reputation that is tied with it since it was first held, the proceeds from Le Bal go to charities such as Enfants d'Asie, an organisation which gives educational support to Southeast Asian girls and Seleni, a non-profit organisation that provides financial assistance to researchers for adolescent mothers and their healthcare.

George Washington Charity Ball
As early as the 1940s, the American Association of the Philippines has long been celebrating the premium event over dinners and cocktails. George Washington Charity Ball is a coming together of the AAP founders, its members and their partners. Its core is to commemorate the union between the American community and the Filipinos and to acknowledge the commendable leaders that we have today. Aside from the ball’s aim to maintain the preservation of AAP’s historical collection, the George Washington Charity ball is also committed to offering help by means of education and basic needs to both deserted American and Filipino children. Memberships are encouraged to implement the American Association of the Philippines’ continuous valuable projects that emphasised progressive well-being.
Red Charity Gala
Founded by Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Kaye Tinga, also called RCG is frequently regarded as a fashion show with numerous charities, and the Philippine Red Cross and Assumption High School ’81 as its beneficiaries. The utmost goal of the gala is to barely shine the spotlight on the runway and Philippine fashion but to completely shift the attention towards the unprivileged and change their lives. “Charity never goes out of style,” shared Valdes on her invitation last April. Expectedly, the dedication she shares with her fellow philanthropist channelled through the Red Charity Gala triumphed this year.
