Among the businesswoman’s highlights are her RWB car builds—the bespoke widebody Porsche 911 transformations that she shares on her YouTube channel. Mead King, who is behind Classic Speed Inc, Gi Automotive and Car Porn Racing, also worked with Akira Nakai, the Japanese founder of RWB, on several builds this year.
In November, she made headlines when her Acura NSX caught fire on the South Luzon Expressway. Mead King was thankfully unharmed and, soon after, shared plans to rebuild her car, saying on Instagram: “It’s going to be a tremendous effort to get this back to spec and we’re going to be bringing you along for the rebuild process!”

It has been a big year for gymnast Carlos Yulo, who, after winning the men’s floor exercise and vault events at the Paris 2024 Games, became the first two-time Olympic gold medallist of the Philippines. For his historic achievement, the athlete was showered with rewards from the government and the community, with his cash gifts reportedly reaching over PHP100 million. On top of this, he also received a house, a fully furnished condominium, cars and more. Yulo capped off 2024 with another highlight: in November, he was honoured with the Impact Award for Culture at the Philippines’ Tatler Ball.
