Four female pioneers. Four journeys. Four stories. They come together at SHE Speaks 2025 to open up multi-dimensional perspectives on the evolving power of women in a new era.
Every compelling conversation begins with those whose lives are marked by rich experiences and an aspiration to spark positive change. For Women Advancing Women, the team at Tatler Vietnam – Nha Tap Tinh Hoa is honoured to introduce the speakers who will join, share, and inspire with their stories at the SHE Speaks 2025 dialogue.
First is Dr Nguyen Thuy Anh, a PhD in Education. After earning her doctorate from the Pedagogical University in Russia, she has spent years delving into psychology, emotional education and active learning methods for both children and adults. Beyond championing creative learning activities, she founded the Reading with Children Club, a nurturing space that fosters habits of reading, listening and understanding within families and the wider community. At SHE Speaks 2025, she will serve as the programme leader, guiding the dialogue and drawing out meaningful reflections from fellow speakers.

Next is historian Dr Bui Tran Phuong. A graduate of Marie Curie School, she went on to earn her history degree from Paris Sorbonne University in 1972. She soon returned to Vietnam and began teaching at Marie Curie High School in Ho Chi Minh City, while also lecturing at Can Tho University.

From 1977 to 1991, she taught at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. Later, she pursued further studies, completing her master’s degree at Paris VII University in 1994. Between 2006 and 2016, she served as Principal of Hoa Sen University, where she played a pivotal role in establishing it as one of Vietnam’s most respected private universities. Her presence at SHE Speaks 2025 promises to bring a rich, layered perspective to the dialogue.
Joining them is Ms Thi Anh Dao, a distinctive representative of Vietnam’s new generation of female leaders. She currently sits on the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Women Entrepreneurs (HAWEE) and serves as Marketing Director at Masterise Group, a leading player in Vietnam’s real estate sector.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, she is actively engaged in numerous technology and communication initiatives with a humanitarian focus. Her work champions gender balance and sustainable development, while contributing to business consultancy programmes that empower female-led startups and nurture leadership styles suited for the digital age. At SHE Speaks 2025, she will offer heartfelt stories and grounded perspectives that enrich the discussion around women's evolving roles in today’s dynamic landscape.
Completing the quartet is Ms Chu Kim Duc, architect and co-founder of Think Playgrounds. A well-known name in Vietnam’s public space development, she graduated from the Faculty of Planning at Hanoi University of Architecture in 2003, then pursued a master’s degree in Garden History and Landscape Heritage at the Versailles School of Architecture in France. In 2014, she co-founded Think Playgrounds with a vision to uphold every child’s Right to Play, through the creation of imaginative, sustainable public spaces made with recycled materials – spaces that also promote biodiversity in urban settings.

In the past decade, Think Playgrounds has brought to life more than 270 public playgrounds across Vietnam, many specifically designed for children with disabilities, offering safe, inclusive environments. At SHE Speaks 2025, Architect Chu Kim Duc will join her fellow speakers in opening up a space for meaningful exchange, where personal stories are not only told, but also serve to unite women who are quietly driving community transformation.
