I was able to do this by all these women who paved the way to empower us to always reach for our goals no matter what it is. Because in life we can always achieve our dreams as long as we believe that we can. And thanks to them all.”

She won a slew of awards

Myrna Esguerra earned the title of this year’s “Hakot” Queen—sweeping five special awards apart from the crown.

She won Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Urban Smiles Dental Clinic Award, Binibining Philippine Airlines, and is among the Top 5 Best in National Costume. Her remarkable achievements highlight her versatility and poise, making her a standout contestant during the evening.

“Standing here at the age of 17, I started to finance my own studies and help my family financially,” she shares. The queen was able to do this with the support of all the women around her.

Her advocacy revolves around the environment

Myrna Esguerra is dedicated to using her platform to raise awareness of environmental preservation and sustainability, taking action to protect the planet for future generations.

Proud of her Abrenian roots, she also encourages people to explore and appreciate the beauty of her hometown. For instance, she has highlighted Mount Bullagao, fondly known as the Sleeping Beauty of Abra, in one of her shoots and campaigns as a historic, must-visit destination.
