Be sure to make room on your calendar to celebrate the Hong Kong queer community through these concerts, festivals, pride brunches, exhibitions and events
Since June 1970, Pride Month has been a time to uplift and support the LGBTQ+ community, affirm their identities, reflect on the inequities of the past and present, celebrate inclusivity, and take meaningful action to create change.
Following the success of the Gay Games 2023 in Hong Kong, events celebrating the community are plentiful. From a music festival with local and international singers to fundraisers, brunches, exhibitions and drag performances: there’s so much to do in the city this month to celebrate queer identities and show support and allyship for the LGBTQ+ community.

1. The Upper House celebrates Hong Kong Pride Month
When: June 2024
Where: The Upper House, 88 Queensway, Admiralty, Hong Kong
What: The Upper House will celebrate Pride this June with a programme of exclusive events throughout the month to support Hong Kong’s LGBTQ+ community. The Upper House will donate 10 per cent of its proceeds from the Pride activations in June to Hong Kong Marriage Equality, a charity established to advancing fair treatment of and eliminating discrimination against same-sex couples and other members of the LGBTQ+ community in Hong Kong.
2. Pride at Eaton 2024
When: Until August 12
Where: Eaton Hong Kong, 380 Nathan Road, Jordan, Kowloon
What: This year, Eaton Hong Kong will be hosting a month-long queer and disability arts and cultural programme with the theme “Eclipsed Bodies, Embraced Pride”. This theme is meant to challenge societal norms, expectations and definitions of perfect bodies, encouraging gender and sexual minorities, as well as people with disabilities, to embrace their unique experiences. Eaton has curated more than 30 diverse events and experiences in collaboration with local LGBTQ+ and disability organisations, including panels, screenings, immersive workshops and exhibitions, as well as performances.
3. Pride Brunch at Melody
When: June 29
Where: Melody House of Food & Music, G/F, Truelight Building, 100 Third St, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong
What: Melody House of Food & Music’s famed weekend brunch turns rainbow this Pride Month! Guests are invited to don their most extravagant rainbow outfits and show their support for Hong Kong’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community. HK$50 from the cost of each ticket will be donated to Rainbow of Hong Kong, a non-profit organisation dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ+ rights in the city.
4. Stay as you are and be more proud at Hyatt centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong
When: June 2024
Where: Hyatt Centric Hong Kong, 1 North Point Estate Lane, North Point, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong
What: Celebrate Pride Month at Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong with a host of activities and installations designed to show support for the LGBTQ+ community. Pride-inspired festivities throughout June include rainbow photo spots and an art exhibition, a special Urban Pride Getaway staycation package, a Draglicious Pride Brunch, Afterparty and special drinks at Cruise Restaurant and Bar, as well as limited-edition rainbow cakes at The Farmhouse Deli.
5. Pride brunch with Violette Blanches at Frites
When: June 15
Where: Frites Belgium on Tap, G/F Queen's Road Centre 152, Queen's Road Central, Central, Hong Kong
What: Get ready to dance at Frites’ electrifying Pride Brunch, featuring free-flowing drinks, fun games and show-stopping drag performances hosted by the legendary Violette Blanche. Feast on one of Frites’ mouth-watering hearty dishes, get a little merry during the four hours of free-flow drinks, and try to win fabulous prizes sponsored by Benefit Cosmetics Hong Kong.
6. One Love Asia Festival
When: June 29-July 1
Where: Runway 11, AsiaWorld-Expo, 1 Airport Expo Blvd, Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong
What: The three-day One Love Asia Festival is coming to Hong Kong for the very first time. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate international and regional talents, as well as local ones, including Rubberband, and some beloved Mirror members—Keung To, Anson Lo, Jer and Jeremy, who will be wrapping up the final day.
