British Malaysia Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) held its 3rd Business Excellence Awards recently at Sunway Resort

On May 26, 2022, the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the 2022 Business Excellence Awards, which recognises and celebrates outstanding work and results achieved by corporations of UK and Malaysia across a range of achievement categories. Medical device manufacturer Owen Mumford Malaysia won the coveted UK-Malaysia Business of the Year.

Now in its third year, the awards were supported by The British High Commission Kuala Lumpur and Malaysian Investment Development Authority. There are six categories in total, two of which were introduced this year, namely the Outstanding ESG Award and the UK-Malaysia Education Institutional Partnership Award.

The awards gala at Sunway Resort was graced by Richard Graham, UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Malaysia and H.E. Charles Hay, the British High Commissioner to Malaysia, with Dato' Sri Dr Adham Baba, Malaysia's Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation as the guest of honour. Soon-to-open-to-public Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill prepared a three-course dinner for the evening.

UK-Malaysia Education Institutional Partnership: Lancaster University
