This year is an extremely auspicious year for those born in the Year of the Snake as your “energy and magnetic charm” will draw others to you. “You may even find opportunities calling from lands far and wide,” Pang adds. So, don’t be afraid to be adventurous and explore other parts of the world and who knows, you might even find a new love interest there.

You may experience tai sui (the Chinese equivalent of mercury retrograde) throughout 2023. That said, you will be able to overcome it with your wise nature. As you know what you’re looking for and how to achieve it, this will help you “rein in rash decisions” in your dating life.

Let your personality shine as you forge new connections with your love interest, as well as your friends and colleagues. “You will also be a guiding force for others, so embrace being a wingman,” Pang explains.

Pang shares that those who are born in the Year of the Monkey should go into the dating scene with an open mind. It’s best to not let the opinion of others determine your self worth.

She also shares that the best way to get to know your partner is through doing an activity that helps “put you in an amazing head space”.

When it comes to love life, those born in the Year of the Dog will see “double the good fortune” in 2023. So, don’t be afraid to seize the opportunity to meet new people. Pang also shares to “bring the Tinder experience from URL to IRL” with activity-based dates.

The Year of the Rabbit will provide you with opportunities to shine. Pang’s advice is to make use of this opportunity to “fully embrace your true self to make real connections and avoid being misunderstood”.

This year, those born in the Year of the Rat will have “excellent love luck”, providing you with the extra push you need to make yourself irresistible to your matches. Pang advises, “Let the charm you have at work translate into all aspects of your life, including your dates.”

This year, enjoy the simple things in life and let your potential matches “see you for you”. Pang warns us to be careful of our finances and “connect with your match without breaking the bank”.

Take your date on simple pleasures from cloud watching to hiking a local trail—the best way to plan your date is to find out your match’s communication style or love language.

When it comes to love luck in 2023, those born in the Year of the Tiger may find it challenging. That said, Pang shares that the best way to squash this bad energy, or qi, is to “practice radical kindness on your partner or new match”. This can be through simple and meaningful gestures such as planning dates around their interests.
