Marquez knew she’d enter the world of dermatology, even before she had begun any related studies. “My dad was a dermatologist, and he would often bring me along to the clinic when I was small, and also to some lectures across the country,” she recalled. “That inspired me.” She went on to establish The Skin Specialist but later reimagined it as DARE—addressing not only problems on the surface of our skin but also the root causes of these issues. Marquez and her clinic are early adopters; indeed, they were among the first to introduce IV drips, and of course, Alma Harmony.
Alma Harmony takes a holistic approach to skin treatments and is a departure from the multiple cumbersome units of the past. The first, Harmony Glow, is a gentle laser treatment that brightens and refreshes dull skin; the second, Baby Collagen, stimulates natural collagen production, improves texture, and restores youthful plumpness; the third, Bioboost, rejuvenates the deeper layers of the skin, improving not only elasticity but also overall skin health. “If you combine different lasers, it gives you better results in smoothening and anti-ageing,” she explained. Additionally, these skin treatments are non-ablative, making them faster with almost no downtime. The entire procedure is as long as a lunch break, so you can even swing by during a busy day for a quick fix!
