While travel is opening up for the most part, we’re still caught in a kind of ebb and flow—travel bubbles opening then closing, restrictions that change at the drop of a hat and the ever-changing safety status of countries around the world. 

On Monday, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) added seven countries to its list of destinations considered a “very high” Covid-19 risk.

Also known as Level 4, this is the CDC’s highest risk category for Covid-19 travel. Destinations that fall into the CDC’s Covid-19 “Very High” category have had more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days.

The countries added to the list are Andorra, Cyprus, France, Jordan, Lichtenstein, Portugal and Tanzania. This total list currently names 83 countries, including Germany, Singapore and the UK.
