Departing from Tokyo, Hong Kong or Singapore, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will launch a series of Asia-Pacific voyages in December 2025 on board its newest superyacht, Luminara
Slow travel is set to reach new levels of luxury with Luminara, the newest member of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
Luminara will offer 226 suites, accommodating up to 452 guests. The onboard experience will feature world-class dining—including an extensive wine collection—a signature Ritz-Carlton Spa, and an expanded marina that provides guests with direct access to the sea.
Last week, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection announced it will launch a series of 10 new voyages in the Asia-Pacific region with Luminara, which will explore 28 ports across 10 countries including Hong Kong, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and Thailand between December 2025 and May 2026.

Luminara's voyages will range from 10 to 15 nights, departing from either Tokyo, Hong Kong, or Singapore and sailing to Asia’s most coveted ports such as Hạ Long Bay, Vietnam and Puerto Princesa, Philippines, providing access to lively city centres such as Seoul, Osaka, and Bangkok.
“As the first luxury hotel brand to venture into the cruise space, we are thrilled to announce the expansion of our yacht voyages into Asia’s most sought-after destinations. This milestone underscores our commitment to providing exclusive and immersive experiences that cater to the discerning tastes of luxury travelers,” says Jenni Benzaquen, senior vice president of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Bulgari Hotels and Resorts. “Today’s sophisticated adventurers seek intimate, authentic, personalised journeys that go well beyond traditional hospitality, and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection offers guests unparalleled access to the world’s most exquisite destinations, all while enjoying the hallmarks of luxury and personalised service for which The Ritz-Carlton brand is renowned.”
Luminara's maiden Asia-Pacific voyage will be a 14-night journey from Singapore to Hong Kong on December 30, 2025. Guests will celebrate New Year’s Eve on board the luxury vessel and kick off 2026 on the beaches of Koh Samui before sailing to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and and scenic Hạ Long Bay.
Other routes include a 10-night Tokyo round-trip voyage during sakura (cherry blossom) season, when petals blanket the grounds of Osaka Castle and accent the views of Mount Sakurajima from Kagoshima. This voyage also takes guests to various UNESCO World Heritage sites, from the floating shrine and peace memorial of Hiroshima, to the remains of Christian castles and cathedrals in Nagasaki.
