The newly opened Kyra Lounge offers a taste of local cuisine, including dim sum and street food favourites, as well as Hong Kong-inspired cocktails
Kyra Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport has officially opened. Located next to Gate 23, the lounge offers over 8,000 square feet of space for travellers to relax and unwind before boarding their flight.
Hong Kong-based firm Studio 5, which based its design on the daily cycle of the sun, highlighting three key spaces that represent different elemental forces—Crepuscular Rays, Waves, and Fireplace—to create a multi-sensory experience.
The dining area represents the morning sun, featuring gentle pastel tones; the bar—positioned in the centre of the lounge—features a wave-like ceiling to evoke feelings of energy and movement; finally, a secluded lounge settles guests into the relaxed rhythms of the evening with a replica fireplace and rich textiles in deep navy tones.

Offering one last taste of Hong Kong before departure, Kyra Lounge's menu features local favourites including dim sum, beloved street foods like rice noodle rolls and curry fish balls, and cha chaan teng classics such as baked pork chop rice and curry chicken.
And for those who love a pre-flight drink, try the signature Fragrant Harbour cocktail, a floral and fruity concoction inspired by Hong Kong’s history as a trading port.
Kyra Lounge's sustainability efforts are also worth noting. From the bar top, which was made using reclaimed wood from trees that had fallen during typhoons, to the solar fins installed on the windows to help regulate temperature within the lounge, reducing the need for air conditioning.
So who's behind this? Kyra is a new-to-market brand developed by strategic partners Airport Dimensions, SSP and Travel Food Services, combining their expertise to reimagine airport hospitality across the APAC region.
