Located at the heart of the buzzing New Bahru neighbourhood, Alma House invites you—and your furkids—for a modern stay amid lively dining options and thoughtful wellness experiences

The only serviced apartment nestled in New Bahru—Singapore’s newest creative and lifestyle hub—Alma House promises modern living amid lively dining options, trendy cafés, and thoughtful wellness experiences. With a total of 83 keys, guests can choose from a lineup of six different suite styles, ranging from a petite deluxe room for singles or couples (at 215 square feet) to the more generously sized family suite for up to five adults and one infant (with an area of 635 square feet).

Designed by renowned architecture practice Farm, the pet-friendly suites reflect the building’s brutalist origins, paying tribute to its history by melding nostalgic charm and contemporary elements in the warm interiors. For instance, classic louvred glass windows familiar from childhood days spent in classrooms can be spotted in the suites, signifying Farm’s decision to preserve and revitalise the structure rather than building from the ground up.

Built into the timeless design language is a prioritisation of comfort and functionality; modern furnishings from homegrown brand Castlery, characterised by clean lines and gentle curves, ensure a pleasant ambience for all occupants, evoking comfort and simplicity rather than opulence. These are joined by a large smart TV in the living area, a spacious rain shower in the bathroom, and convenient in-room amenities like a personal washer and dryer, so you’ll never have to worry about finding your way to a laundrette.

While navigating Alma House beyond your suite can be confusing—a charming remnant of the original school layout—making your way to the lobby can be worth the journey, the space functioning as a friendly social lounge for residents. An ever-evolving lineup of events and programmes at Alma House promises to transform your stay with new experiences and connections.

As far as the neighbourhood goes, you’ll have eateries such as Artichoke, Kotuwa, and The Coconut Club right at your doorstep for a sumptuous meal. Some of Singapore’s top retail, arts and enrichment offerings surround the serviced apartment as well, with special perks exclusive to residents of Alma House. For instance, you’ll get to enjoy a breakfast bundle from PPP Coffee, in-room dining specially ordered from The Coconut Club, and all-day happy hour at Huevos.

For a dose of pampering and relaxation, indulge in the soothing and revitalising spa offerings from Hideaway, just steps from Alma House. A recovery sanctuary by The Trapeze Group, Hideaway comprises a therapeutic bathhouse with infrared saunas and cold plunges, alongside gorgeous massage rooms and a quiet foot reflexology zone. The interiors were designed by Parable Studio, making use of raw textures, natural elements, and warm hues to evoke an oasis of calm and rest.

Considering that New Bahru can seem inconveniently located, without easy access to public transport, having this variety of dining, lifestyle and wellness offerings nearby—plus a CS Fresh just downstairs from your suite—is particularly convenient throughout the stay.

With inviting interiors, a hint of nostalgia, tailored experiences for residents, and vibrant surroundings, Alma House makes for a perfectly cosy abode in a bustling and creative enclave, where you, your family and your darling pets are bound to feel right at home.
