For the third time, Doha’s Hamad International Airport was named World’s Best Airport at the awards in Germany this week

Known as the gateway to Qatar, Hamad International Airport is known for its Instagram-friendly spaces and excellent service. At this year’s prestigious 2024 Skytrax World Airport Awards held at the Passenger Terminal Expo 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany, the airport once again was named World’s Best Airport, also clinching the title of World’s Best Airport Shopping for the second time in a row as well as Best Airport in the Middle East for the tenth consecutive year.

Hamad International Airport will soon celebrate its 10th year of operations, hitting a milestone of an exceptional surge in passenger traffic in 2023 with over 45 million passengers, surpassing the momentum during the historic FIFA World Cup the year before by 31 per cent.

The airport’s passenger-driven approach to hospitality includes a diverse range of experiences, including the beautifully designed Orchard, a space for relaxation and rejuvenation between flights, and an array of high-end lounges like Al Safwa First Lounge and the Al Mourjan Business Lounge. There is also Souq Al Matar, a traditional Qatari Souq located within the North node terminal at the airport that includes seven unique stores and two local restaurants designed to bring Qatari hospitality and culture closer to travellers.
