Feiping Chang celebrated her birthday in Beijing with friends, including Elly Lam and Victoria Tang, at Aman Summer Palace, which is located in a private compound within the Unesco World Heritage Site
Feiping Chang is truly the hostess with the most. The Taiwan-born, Hong Kong-based It girl is known to go above and beyond when it comes to celebrating life’s big moments—who could forget her wedding in Capri, where she and husband Lincoln Li restored a historic villa, even building a bridge to connect the previously inaccessible rooftop to the villa’s lush gardens.
This past weekend, Chang flew to Beijing with her closest friends—including Elly Lam, Jonathan “JC” Cheung and Victoria Tang—for a birthday celebration fit for royalty. Quite literally.

The weekend-long affair took place at the luxurious Aman Summer Palace, a serene retreat located just steps away from the eponymous Unesco World Heritage Site.
Here, Chang and her fashionista friends enjoyed a full makeover and got dressed in spectacular imperial Chinese costumes before enjoying a banquet prepared by the hotel.
Aman Summer Palace occupies a private compound within the historic garden estate, and is composed of elegant pavilions that once served as imperial waiting rooms.
Taking care to preserve the original Qing Dynasty architecture, the ancient pavilions feature traditional tiled roofs and peaceful courtyards. Inside its 55 guest rooms, which include 33 suites, guests will find elegant touches like ornate hand-carved screens and oversized soaking tubs.
One of Aman Summer Palace’s most impressive features is a 5,000 square-metre subterranean wellness space, which boasts a striking inky-blue indoor pool surrounded by lounge chairs, and a spa offering treatments rooted in traditional Chinese medicine.
Recapping the whirlwind trip to Aman Summer Palace in an Instagram post, Chang thanked her group of friends “for coming to Beijing to celebrate with me and indulging in my crazy dress codes”, and says she “had a fantasy of a birthday and couldn’t be more grateful”.
