Held at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, BMW celebrated its all-electric BMW iX2 with the #MakeItReal campaign

On June 21, 2024, automotive enthusiasts, eco-conscious individuals, and friends of Tatler Malaysia as well as BMW Malaysia gathered at 1Utama Shopping Centre for a groundbreaking event hosted by automaker to celebrate innovation and sustainability celebrating the all-electric BMW iX2 under the banner of its #MakeItReal campaign.

The venue pulsated with energy, thanks to the vibrant tunes of DJ Ashley Lau and an eye-catching setup where guests were treated to a delectable treats curated by Kenny Hills, complementing the evening’s festivities. Lasting three days, the event also featured a giant mirror for memorable photo opportunities and a curated selection of engaging activities, all reflecting BMW’s commitment to blending luxury with sustainable mobility solutions.

The centrepiece of the evening was undoubtedly the BMW iX2, unveiled by Benjamin Nagel, managing director and CEO of BMW Group Malaysia.

This Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) seamlessly blends sleek design with cutting-edge technology, boasting dynamically stretched lines that exude a sporty allure. The redesigned black mesh kidney grille and high-gloss frame add a distinctive touch, reinforcing its modern aesthetic.

Inside, the car continues to impress with its elegant interior and BMW Operating System 9, tailored for seamless touch and voice control. The full-colour BMW Head-Up Display keeps essential driving information within the driver's line of sight, ensuring optimal focus on the road ahead while the fully digital BMW Curved Display combines a 10.25 inch instrument display with a 10.7 inch control display. A thoughtfully integrated control panel on the armrest offers intuitive access to vehicle functions, including My Modes and the parking brake.

Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds, the iX2 promises exhilarating performance without compromising on efficiency. A quick 10-minute recharge provides an additional 120 kilometers of range, catering perfectly to urban commutes and extended journeys alike.
