Filipino Entertainment Company SBTown celebrates 75 Years of Philippine-South Korean diplomatic relations with a music festival
Filipino entertainment company SBTown, formerly the management behind SB19, recently celebrated 75 years of friendship between the Philippines and South Korea through SBTown Music Fiesta. Buzzed with excitement and anticipation, the concert at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium in Manila last May 26 was an enjoyable experience for lovers of Filipino and Korean pop music.
Under the direction of Geong Seong Han, popularly known among Filipinos as Tatang Robin, select rising K-pop idols and Korean actors were invited to create a memorable night of revelry and music.

Multinational female group X:IN, South Korean girl group Queenz Eye, and South Korean boy group Dignity entertained fans with hits Keeping the Fire, Queenz Table, and Rambo.
South Korean singer Jang Hyeri, K-pop Trot girl group Minimani member Yu Suhyun, and the band Bebop also maintained the hype of the crowd—especially with the former singing her own rendition of Filipino musician Freddie Aguilar’s Anak.
A special appearance from Korean actor, model, and the ‘nation’s second lead’ Kim Ji Soo ended the section with style.

On the other hand, P-pop groups YGIG and PLUUS, along with soloist Darlene, demonstrated the country’s ability to stand alongside Korean artists in this celebratory event. In fact, YGIG’s Universe performance garnered a thousand views in one Facebook video alone.
“It was really a fun and exciting night at SBTown Music Fiesta,” Justin from PLUUS posted on Instagram. “SUM, I hope you all enjoyed our performances. We appreciate you always.”
The first P-pop groups to perform at the Waterbomb Festival
During the event’s media conference two days prior, SBTown also revealed that PLUUS and YGIG will be the first P-pop groups to perform at the upcoming Waterbomb Festival in August.
Waterbomb is a popular K-pop festival that has been running annually since 2015. This year, it expanded to countries and regions for the first time, including Dubai, Singapore, and more.
