Up for some nostalgia? Here’s everything to know about South Korean boyband Super Junior this year—from the Ryeowook wedding to the group’s 2024 Asia Tour
Way before what the majority considers the “golden age of K-pop”, the industry’s second generation of artists reigned supreme. At the forefront of this era was the veteran K-pop group Super Junior.
Dubbed “King of Hallyu Wave”, Super Junior is a South Korean boy group formed in 2005 under SM Entertainment. Members Leeteuk, Hee-chul, Yesung, Eunhyuk, Shindong, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun round up their current active members.
The group has nothing left to prove with its impressive list of achievements over the years. Still, after 19 years, it remains steadfast in its activities—often focusing on individual projects—and continues to delight its fans by choice and passion.
Here, we mention some of the group’s recent news, from their personal lives to concerts and new releases.

“Nice to see you all,” he addressed his fans during the concert. “There were so many times that I came back to the Philippines just to see Filipino ELFs. I’m very happy to see you all more often.”
Heechul updates with Kim Ki Bum and Hangeng
The year 2024 is a year of reunions.
Before the legendary OT15 group picture at Ryeowook’s wedding, Heechul, Kim Ki Bum, and Hangeng already woke the fandom from its slumber.
On May 15, Heechul shared on Instagram: “Kim Ki Bum. Heechul’s Hee Kibum’s Bum. That’s why Hee Bum. Idols these days are younger than Hee Bum.” Fans were delighted that despite Kim Ki Bum leaving the group in 2015, he remained close to Heechul.
The singer and host also posted pictures with former member Hangeng. “Hangeng [blue heart emoji] Hee Chul,” he captions in the post.
